Ruth Asbury

Community Service/Outreach

Ruth has been dancing with LSHO since 2017 and completed the inaugural Beginners’ Foundation Course in 2019. For her, LSHO has always been more than just a dance school; at its core is a strong sense of people and culture, something that closely aligns with her own values.

Dance and community have, in fact, been central to Ruth’s life from an early age. She began ballet classes at just four years old and later became involved in children’s and youth work as a teenager. When the opportunity arose to lead LSHO’s charity arm, Team Give Back, it therefore felt like a natural next step for her, as well as a way of putting her professional experience in project management and marketing to good use.

In her role, Ruth is committed to strengthening and maintaining LSHO’s connection to the islands by supporting fundraising initiatives that serve Polynesian communities.
