Preserving and Sharing Pacific Dance, Culture, & Community in the UK & beyond
London School of Hula & ‘Ori
London School of Hula and 'Ori (LSHO) is a Pacific culture community hub operating since 2011. We exist to honour, preserve, and perpetuate Pacific heritage through gatherings, classes, workshops, performances, and exhibitions.
Our work is grounded in lineage-based practice, with a strong emphasis on inclusivity, wellbeing, and intergenerational learning. We provide a space where Pacific diaspora communities in London/UK, as well as anyone interested in Pacific cultural arts, can gather, learn, and participate.

Our Values
-
Our community ('ohana) offers space for people of all ages, identities, abilities, cultures, and backgrounds, to come together (kākou) and participate in community, working together towards common goals (laulima) grounded in care, reciprocity, balance, and integrity (pono).
-
Lineage-based practices and performances that honour and respect our ancestors, teachers, culture, and Earth (mālama), and encourage interconnectedness and harmony (Lokahi) of mind, body, spirit, and nature; self, community, Earth; past, present, future, in order to create a healthier, more equitable future for all (kuleana).
-
We support and celebrate each other in a joyful space (maika'i), helping and giving back where we can (kokua), sharing breath and presence, and living and leading with love, respect, compassion, and responsibility toward all (aloha).
